Alright. It’s been long enough. I’m bringing back the blog.
To be clear, I didn’t go into today thinking I was going to write. Quite the contrary - WillB actually stopped by and we joked about how we’re not posting anymore. We’ve been busy. We’ve been ignoring it. Whatever. It just hasn’t happened.
What did happen, though, was a big pile of shit from my favorite band.
I know…the Disco Biscuits again. But hey, it’s a good story.
The Biscuits just released their new album - Planet Anthem. They’ve been talking about this album for four years. That’s never a good thing. There’s the anticipation. Expectations are set too high. Time goes by. People change. The music changes.
That last part is the focus of my Terrible Tuesday.
To be honest I’d usually offer up a sample of what the biscuits used to be, but that doesn’t matter. This stuff is just plain bad - no matter what you compare it to.
What we have here is robot/human sex to club music. How the Biscuits went there — and in the process spoiled 1) robots, which I find interesting in certain circumstances, and 2) their own unique music perspectives, ditched in favor of a top-40 flavor — I’ll never understand.
In any event, the blogs back. Here’s to Terrible Tuesdays.
