Happy Monday Peeps! I hope everyone had a great weekend and is ready for more fun on the TitleTBD blog this week.
My reco for the day to add to your mixtape is from the Living Legends. The legends are a crazy influential group in underground hip hip. MURS, Scarub and The Grouch are definitely three of my favorite MCs around and can rhyme with the best of em. They combine unique flow styles, beats and sounds to create a very unique sound in hip hop, and they’ve been doing it for years. They also make fun of ridiculous fads going on in popular culture (think of The Grouch’s “Artsy”) and the video i chose does just that. This video clowns on the reality TV/dating game fad that has overtaken America, or at least did for a while. Not only is it musically enjoyable to listen to, but the video is hilarious to watch as well.
