Happy Happy Freestyle Friday!! So i probably should have saved this one for a Thursday post, but fuck it, it was in my headphones this morning and i couldn’t resist. CC mentioned those rappers that claim to have more authenticity than anyone else in the game, and im going to be cliche and say that this legendary duo does.
I hope you all have listened to CNN before, but if not, then listen up. It consists of Capone and Noreaga and started back in 96. They’ve both done solo albums as well, but Noreaga (changed his name to N.O.R.E) is a lot more well known than Capone. Could it be because Capone can’t keep himself out of jail? Maybe….
This track that i am posting combines gangster lyrics and flow with a sweet, melodic beat, thanks to the help of DJ Premier (an even bigger legend in his own right). I mean shit, if you’re gonna have Premier on the beats, its gonna be a sick track.
